Artist Professor Betty La Duke's Eritrea: Reshaping the Land is on the cover of the latest issue of Whole Terrain: Reflective Environmental Practice (Break Bread ) Volume 23 ( a publication of the Department of Environmental Studies of Antioch University New England .

Professor La Duke's article in the same publication is entitled, "Excerpts from Bountiful Harvest: From Land to Table". In it, Prof. La Duke explains that food production, food processing, and marketing have been the recurring themes in her work. She further explains that Eritrea: Reshaping the Land is a paining about terracing mountainsides that had been stripped of trees so that grain crops could be planted again.
